TO REALIZE ONE’S DREAMS AND POTENTIAL IS NOT TIED TO THOSE THAT WALK
AWAY, BUT CONNECTED TO OUR INNER CHARISMA AND BELIEF IN SELF THAT WE
ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH TO FULFILL OUR WILDEST DREAMS. THIS IS SOMETHING
RECORDING ARTIST AND FITNESS MODEL BRYAN HAWN STRONGLY BELIEVES IN, AND
A GOLDEN RULE THAT MADE HIM REALIZE THE IMPOSSIBLE AND INSPIRE PEOPLE
ACROSS THE WORLD TO LIVE WITH PASSION AND AMBITION.
After winning a recording contract in a talent competition four years ago, Bryan Hawn
moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in music. After a few months
of recording, the production company ran out of money. Without losing
sight of the goal, Bryan decided to fund the project himself and
release his album independently. To pay for production costs, Bryan
danced as a stripper in the gay clubs. With his charming sex appeal and
radiant personality, Bryan raised enough capital to launch his own
billboard campaign and release his inspiring album “More Than Enough”.
All of that was more than enough reason for us to look Bryan up and
have a little chat with him.
Bryan, a career in international pop music… You really didn’t choose the easiest way of living. How did you arrive here?
Bryan:
Ever since I was very young, I have always had a passion for music.
When I observed different lifestyles around me, I realized the happiest
people in life were not necessarily the wealthiest, but the individuals
that had connected with a career that they love and are passionate
about. What good is a six figure income job if you are miserable doing
it? If life is about finding joy, and sharing it with others, then
music with 100% clarity, became the undeniable path for my life. I
believe when people connect with the desires of their heart, the road
that appears to others as extremely difficult, becomes surprisingly
easy, and is actually not work at all.

You don’t make a secret of the fact that you worked as a gay
stripper in order to finance your first music production and ad
campaign…
Bryan: I think it’s a fascinating story, and I am very
proud of my hard work and determination to find a way to create my own
budget. There were also a couple essential contacts that I made working
in the clubs that have catapulted me forward and played a big part in
where I am today. It’s easy to try and fit people into a certain box
when you see them wearing next to nothing on stage. It could be even
considered taboo by some. I have found it very freeing to not base my
inner confidence on the approval of others. Certain people may be
critical of dancing on a bar in the midst of trying to pursue a music
career. I’ve realized that my destiny is not tied to my critics, but
guided by my intuitive sense of peace and joy. I’m proud of where I’ve
been, and excited about where I’m going.
Some people are born for the spotlights, and you seem to be one of
them. Can you tell us about your other activities besides being a
recording artist?
Bryan: I think we all have the capability to
shine in our own ways. One of my favorite quotes is by Marianne
Williamson: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our
deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light,
not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to
be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you
not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the
world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children
do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our own
light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the
same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others.”
It’s so brilliantly said. As far as other
activities, I love working out in the gym. Living in Miami Beach, I got
to stay on top of my game. Most of my time is spent on my piano or
writing a new song, but when I’m not in creative mode, I play
paddleball and volleyball with my friends on the sand.

Singing, acting, performing in stage musicals and posing for fashion photos… where lies your biggest passion?
Bryan:
My biggest passion is definitely singing because it gives me a medium
to connect with my listener and take them on an emotional journey. If I
can make somebody feel what I’m feeling, I then have the capacity to
inspire them and impact their life for the better. That’s the beauty of
art and I believe the definition of a true artist.
Bryan, you have an amazing body which reveals you must have a
strong passion for fitness and sports. What do you do to stay fit?
Bryan:
When I was young, I was very competitive in Junior Olympic Track and
Field. I travelled all over the nation competing and was ranked 3rd in
the nation in the 800M run when I was 12. Hard work ethic, excellent
diet, and pure discipline were instilled in me from a young age. Fitness has become such an amazing avenue in my life for stress
release, inner self-confidence, and clarity of mind. It’s such a great
alternative to so many destructive outlets that are offered. I’ve never
ever tried drugs, but I do get high on life more and more each day ?
You recently released an E-book, named The List. Can you tell us about this?
Bryan: The best way to learn more is on my site myspace.com/bryanhawn.
In a nut shell, it’s and e-book exposing the truth and secrets behind
the fitness model body. There are many people who spend 4-5 times a
week in the gym. Why do so few of them have the body to show for it?
Sometimes it’s not about working hard, it’s about working smart! It’s
about working with your body, understanding how it operates, and
leveraging that understanding to create that chiselled physique. My new
single “Beauty” is also available to everyone who gets a copy of The
List.
Do you have a boyfriend?
Bryan: No. I want something out of this world. I haven’t seen it yet, but I am confident that it will find me.
Physically, what are you looking for in a man?
Bryan: My
favorite actor is James Marsden. So if you look anything like him,
that’s a great start! Lol. I tend to like muscle boys. If you have a
big chest and a hot ass, you’ve probably caught my attention ?
And emotionally?
Brayn: Somebody who can light up an entire
room with just a smile, and at the same time make me feel like I’m the
only person in the room. A guy that’s not afraid to take risks and is
willing to put his heart on the line. A person who believes in the
best, but is capable of making it through the worst. Someone who
emanates love, and is not afraid of being loved.
What is next for Bryan Hawn?
Bryan: My music video “More Than
Enough” has recently topped the charts at #1 in the country on MTV
logo. I’m very excited about that and grateful to everyone who voted
for it. Currently working with Chris Willis (“Love is Gone”) on a new
dance track and constantly coming up with new creative ways to share my
music with the world.
Any advise for those who are trying to make it in showbusiness?
Bryan:
The best advice that I can give is to not wait for somebody else to
believe in you. Believe in yourself! Have a clearly defined purpose of
what you want to do, be passionate about why you want to do it, and
have a burning desire to accomplish it, and the rest will figure itself
out. –B-
